1. Quavers ,Semi quaver and demi semi quaver (basics of keyboard)
a) Quaver
Quaver is otherwise called as Eighth (8) note . It carries 1/2 beat (count) . It as a Flag on it's Stem. When two quavers are beamed together , it is called beamed Quavers .

b) Semi Quaver
Semi Quaver is otherwise called as Sixteenth (16) note . It carries 1/4 beat (count) . It as 2 flag on it's stem . 4 semiquaver forms a Crotchet beat ( 1 beat ) .

c) Demi Semi Quaver
Demi Semi Quaver is otherwise called as Thirty Second (32) note . It carries 1/8 beat (count) . It as 3 flag on it's stem . 8 demi semi quaver forms a crotchet beat (1 beat ) .

2. Time Signatures and Bar line
There are various time signatures , that is being used in music like 4/4 , 3/4 , 2/4 etc., Let us look about time signatures in this section .
a) What is mean by time signatures ?
Time signatures are commonly used in music
To Group the rhythms .
To Group the notations .
To Group the bars .
b) Name Some time signatures
There are various time signatures in music , Let us see about some commonly used time signatures
4/4 : 3/4 : 2/4 : 6/8 : 7/8 : 3/2 : 2/2 : 12/8 : 9/8 : 3/8 and some more
c) Explain how time signatures are formed
In time signatures there are 2 segments as N/D
where , N denotes Number of beats and
D denotes the Type of Beat
D Type Of Beat
4 --> Crotchet Beat
8 --> Quaver Beat
16 --> Semi Quaver Beat
2 --> Minim Beat
So , 4/4 denotes 4 crotchet beats per bar
3/4 denotes 3 crotchet beats per bar
6/8 denotes 6 quaver beats per bar
7/ 8 denotes 7 quaver beats per bar
4/16 denotes 4 semiquaver beats per bar
2/2 denotes 2 minim beats per bar
